In an effort to help contain the spread of the Coronavirus, the Haan Museum of Indiana Art has been temporarily closed to the public. Our Sculpture Garden and Nature Trail continue to remain open from dawn to dusk and, as always, are free to the public.
We are in the planning stages of re-opening the Museum and can’t wait for the opportunity to see everyone again. During our planning, we have always had this primary goal in mind: how do we open up the Museum to the public and create the SAFEST environment for our visitors, volunteers, and staff?
The truth is, the answer is multi-faceted. We have been thinking of everything that we can do to keep all who enter the Museum as safe and healthy as possible.
Upon reopening, we will be requiring visitors, volunteers, and staff to wear a face mask/face covering. Tours will be scheduled on limited dates and times, in advance either online or by phone, with a specific number of people per tour in order to maintain social distancing, keep up with cleaning schedules, and much more. We will begin scheduling tours on July 10th through the end of July for Museum Members only. During this time, all Museum Members will receive free admission. We value our members, and their opinions, and would like to know how they think we are adjusting to these new changes. We will then open to the public on August 1st.
Please know we sincerely miss interacting with our visitors and volunteers, but we also want to do this the right way. We are following guidelines set forth by the CDC, OSHA, State and local officials in order to re-open safely. We thank you for your patience! Please continue to check on our future emails as we share more news regarding reopening.
