Learn about the fascinating history of the mansion that was moved piece by piece by rail from the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair to Lafayette. View the finest of Indiana paintings, including artwork by the Hoosier Group, Brown County Art Colony, and more. Surround yourself with ornate American antique furniture, as well as an eclectic mix of contemporary ceramic and sculptural pieces throughout the house and sculpture garden. Our trained volunteer docents will be on-hand to give you an overview of the highlights you won’t want to miss, and you are free to explore the museum at your own pace with our mobile map on your smartphone.
The first and second floors of the Museum are accessible to all visitors. There is a ramp outside for wheelchair accessibility, and an elevator inside. Our sculpture garden is also wheelchair accessible.
